    Chesham BS - Annual loss

Not seen it reported yet, but Chesham BS made a LOSS of nearly £1.9m last year, it lost £3m in Landsbanki/Heritable Bank. About £100 per member.

    Idiots.

So that's why they've got one of the highest mortgage SVRs around.

Thank goodness I've got a 6.5% fixed rate.

Have they thrown in 3 years' worth of FSCS levies as well, given that it was going to be a disastrous year anyway? Always good to get all of the bad news out of the way at once.

I haven't seen the full results anywhere - their website is suspiciously silent on the subject.

    Loss for the year (1.9)m

Assets increase from 253k to 257k

I wonder if this will quietly get taken over.

I know. I was on the web earlier for a safe haven for my money. Most of the institutions forget to tell you their results. HBOS and RBS on their websites don't comment on the £'oooBns they 'lost'. Nor the fact that they are 'sponsored' by the Government!

And how about NatWest in today's full page newspaper ads to 'thank customers' ....... they forget to thank taxpayers for their support and their bail out.

I agree something in there is suspicious!

What tosh. There is a prominent link to the results announcement for RBS on their homepage:

    http://www.rbs.com/

And ditto for Lloyds Banking Group:

    http://www.lloydsbankinggroup.com/

    What tosh?

You'll mean this RBS homepage: http://www.rbs.co.uk/

    Likewise for NatWest: http://www.natwest.com/personal.ashx

or this one for Lloyds: http://www.lloydstsb.com/ And for all their other brands to Halifax etc.

Search google, and you find those listed as their respective homepage.
