Sorry - I meant buy it without a vote or a windfall payout.

Not that Royal Liver is democratic anyway - a load of regional self appointees will have the final say.

good news imo
So why won't members get a say then?
It's the latest scam dreamed up by Mutual Directors.![]()
Please do not steal - the Government doesn't like competition
Remember, age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability
Maybe they will offer a beach ball for it?

No vote, no windfall looks the mutual way of the future.
Not just the insurers but Dunfermline, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Barnsley, Scabbyborough............
The article didn't actually say RL members won't get a vote. Has this been confirmed elsewhere?![]()
Royal Liver has regional members panels (elected by who?) who vote on these sorts of things - there is no one member one vote.
Don't know who my London regional reps are or how to influence their votes if this does transpire.
Think a windfall tax to help pay of the National Debt is in order then we can all benefit from the mutual model. May be a conservative government will bing this in?No vote, no windfall looks the mutual way of the future.

What actually does membership mean then?
Isn't the institution owned by the members?
If that is so - how is it legal to omit the members from having a say?
In the same contecxt - what does 'mutuality' mean?
