    There is a quaintness in that they are the only society that count the votes themselves still! In fairness to them, they are being proactive in getting shareholding balances under the FSCS limit, which seems prudent both to manage down the balance sheet and to prevent members being in a difficult position should the worst happen...

    is that right? The Progressive voting forms certainly go to Progressive House.

    If they win the appeal do you think Manchester will pay the members a special bonus? (I think not.)


    However if they win or lose - just settle the matter one way or another - perhaps it will precipitate the Manchester ending it's existence via a merger or whatever.

    and then saving accounts and mortgages will be absorbed by another provider to 'save' the members.
