    Welcome to Totalisers!

A very warm welcome to the Totalisers community, who are now hosting their forum here.

I hope our members will make you feel at home. It's great to have you here

If you need any help with the discussion facilities, just ask - by posting your question to "About This Web Site".

I have a strong interest in Totalise, having worked for them for 18 months (and still having a few shares ), so I certainly look forward to joining in your discussions.

If there are other features you'd like to see here, please say (preferably via your moderator 'brax').

    Enjoy!

Old Totalisers never die, they just get harder to find.

    "Walking with Totalisers"

"Totalisers" are a special breed of people that had shares in an innovative, diverse but now unfortunately defunct Internet Services group called Totalise plc that at its peak had some 200k users and a wide range of ecommerce subsidiaries.

After the demise of Totalise plc the original founders of the company gave free shares in a new venture of theirs called Tspeak UK Ltd to many of the shareholders of Totalise plc - thus ensuring - at the very least that these people got a chance of a "second bite of the cherry".

Tspeak UK Ltd has been very quiet for about 12 months creating much speculation about its status but there will be plenty of interesting news soon I am sure. This forum provides a place for interested parties to exchange news, views and opinion on the prospects of the company.

For my sins I am one of the co-founders of Totalise and also Tspeak UK Ltd, although ceased to be Managing Director of the latter in May 2004 to free up a little more time for some other business interests. Peter Gregory is now Managing Director and driving force behind the business.

    regards

    James

    hi John,

Not much to add to Xavenger's quick synopsis -- except to say that the loose knit online "community" that sprang up around the Totalise brand has also been interested in other small cap investing ideas -- partly in order to provide amusement whilst waiting for Tspeak to re-launch at full power. (Tspeak already offers telephonic services, but is not yet publicly listed).

Totalise was an exciting company that was involved in all manner of entrepreneurial activities, not just in the UK. At one point it seemed poised to expand to Australia and Southern Africa. It imported cars, offered banking services, delivered flowers, etc etc. It's fortunes were the subject of fierce debate amongst the Totalise community, which at one time numbered several hundred.

The thinking is that Tspeak, and associated ventures such as Credecard might, over time, prove just as interesting.

    cheers

Sadly no, having held my shares to the bitter end.

(and I might add that helping to maintain the totalisers forum, which has never had anything to do with the company, does not carry remuneration. I'm just doing it to see where it goes.)

    cheers,

Thanks Brax - and sorry the answer was no!

I'm certainly interested in the "other small cap investing ideas" bit.
