Possibly 7dayshop? Not components, but recordable media, memory cards & readers and print carts - with some good offers at times. Not mainstream, but worth not forgetting, if you get my drift?

And why is the heading of this thread now ".)" ........ it may attract viewers as it's intriguing (it brought me here!) but it's hardly descriptive

i have to say that www.amazon.co.uk is normally the cheapest if they have a component in stock, although they dont often have a large stock of many.

Another site to add to your list is www.autdirect.co.uk

Cannot say they are always the cheapest but their stock is very varid.

You can also buy what they call "barebone" systems which are every thing you require in a system except hard drive and monitor.

They are a small company but have a personal touch for the customer.

They have a helpline which has helped me out more than once in not buying a item that would not work on my system.

Unlike some companies they have a counter where you can buy items straight away , with free help in installing the item, given willingly as you stand there.

    Give them a look.

Your going to need MS Windows for most download casino's (i.e. Viper/microgaming), so Linux is probably not the best option.
