    Samsung DVD Combos

I was thinking of purchasing a Samsung DVD Combo. However i have heard of one person who's had problems with theirs (don't know which model they have exactly), and they're now having problems getting a replacement. Are Samsung a good/bad make? Anybody had similar problems?
    Would appreciate any advice.

Assume you are talking about a video recorder/dvd player combo?
If so, I have no experiance of Samsung but...
I bought a Toshiba which didn't work properly from the start and replaced it with a Panasonic (a few pounds more) which has worked perfectly for 2 years now and I would recommend.
My model cost £150 but has been replaced with the NV-VP33EG costing little over £100 now. If you can afford it I would seriously consider getting one that includes a DVD recorder as well as a player - they start from £150 now but the Panasonic DMR-ES30 is just over £200.
    Hope this helps.

Have got a Samsung telly and a Samsung DVD/VHS combo, both have always worked fine. However, I had a lot of problems with an early Samsung Mp3 player and their customer service response was absolutely dire.
