    Same with everything, it's only a few years ago I bought a standard 32" widescreen from Panasonic for £600, I can probably get a similar LCD for about the same price now.

    The real bargains initially will be with the older type sets such as these.

    Ditto to the sentiments echoed above, the world cup will not be a pivotal point..... I am interested to know why exactly some people think it will be?

    I think that retailers expect to sell a lot over the summer/world cup so will keep the price stable - as soon as the WC finishes they will start dropping in price quicker - thats my thoughts anywho.

    but if world cup was not on just now the price would still be as high to make their money back.
