    Nope (Not significantly)

Prices are falling at present but will fall as all technology will do. There'll probably be the odd bargain or two in the sales.

Well that's it. Once HDTV takes off mainstream in the UK, retailers will be shifting 'old' stock that are currently branded as HDTV ready but are not actually Pure High Def (1080 lines).

I think there is only one 1080 TV available from Phillips in the UK.

    EDIT:

    It's a 37 incher - available HERE

Just for knowledge improvement purposes, what's the alternative to 1080?

Though still not popular, also look at 1080i which most of the HD TVs have

Pasma / LCD prices will fall constantly! for comparison i bought a panel (just panel alone) for £1200 march 2005 and trying to sell now for making the way to new HD panel. But this costs just £700 in seconds market

Prices dropping like a stone already. Just like DVD recorders. And wide screen CRT sets when they were new.
