Sony Eric. w300i Lime, 11 MONTHS FREE ON 12 MONTH CONTRACT + Others!

Been looking for a decent cashback deal since my last one ended at the beginning of January, and can't find one!

They had a different phone yesterday but then came across this one.

It's at e2save (never personally had any cashback problems with them?), but think it's also at onestopphoneshop if you prefer?

    This is a clearance model on O2 400 mins + 500 texts.

This phone is not going to set the world alight, but if you are after a cheap contract then this is the best I could find, unless you know different?

1600 rpoints helps with the month you end up paying for?

The contract is £35 a month with a total cashback claim of £385 over your 12 month contract. £136 raised automatically within 2 months (although the last two I had like this they managed to "forget" to process, we had to ring up but got them both eventually), and then 4 payments of £62-ish at months 6,8,10 and 12, you know how these work.

As far as I could tell this wasn't a "price match" offer, so you have 30 days to send in the information to claim your cashback.

    Hope it helps?

Since spotting this and writing the offer, e2save had added several other phones to their "January Sale", along with the 1 above.

Some are not 11 months free out of 12, but these ones are.

They all seem to be on the O2 400 mins + 500 texts @ £35 per month.

    Current phones on offer are;

    Nokia 6080

    Samsung E250

    Motorola W220

    Samsung E250 Black

    Sony Eric. W300i Silver

They also have a couple of others that are on the same contract, but instead of FREE for 11 months, they are 99p per month for 11 months out of 12.

    These are;

    Samsung J600

    Nokia 7373

This is an extension of this offer (edit - just seen it was your post too!) ...

    http://www.rpoints.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1156423

which surprisingly (at least to me) didn't seem to get much of a response. It got a much better response on HotDealsUK.

Out of that lot the J300 seems to me to be the best deal - my sister went for that. I went for the W300i because it will work with my hands free kit - but will probably stick to my trusty old 6630 anyway just using the O2 SIM in it.

The best bit is that this is a hybrid deal with automatic cashback and redemption cashback.

My W200i arrived today, even came with a headset (that's me impressed then)

I would have gone for the J600 had it been available at the time, but when I first listed these offers on here the only choice was the one I had or the nokia 6080.

There have been so few cashback deals since the start of the year I thought I better get one quick

I had moved to Virgin on a pay as you go since my last contract finished, but the coverage has been pants at home, hence the need for a new contract with someone other than Virgin/T-mobile.

Was going to update the original post but had started typing a new one so just went with it, as ya' do.

    Hope it helped someone.

defgimp.... If you are interested in using the phone as an MP3 player then the M2 card you need is available from play.com 2GB Sandisk = £14.99 delivered, 2GB Sony = £13.49 delivered. I went for the SanDisk as I think it comes with an adapter - so I assume I can use it in my card reader.

Ring 202 asap to cancel your itemised paper billing. You can get itemised billing online free. Don't forget to cancel your insurance that E2Save give you free for the first month. I found out that when texting from abroad it comes out of your inclusive texts (e.g. one text from Spain uses 4 of your inclusive texts). You can port your number over within 30 days of your new O2 contract.

I am quite happy with the W300i and may well use it instead of my 6630. My sister (who ordered the J600) saw mine and wished she had gone for that. She gets hers tomorrow so we will find out if what the differences are... the J600 is sleeker with worse battery life and sensitive keys from what I can make out.

Thanks for that, didnt' know you could do that. Have just paid for the itemised billing in the past. Would have cancelled the insurance before completing the purchase, but you can't which is annoying.

Really torn as to whether to keep it or not? (The phone that is) I have one of the Marshall Ward K800i's which was going to be my phone, it's just more phone than I'm ever going to use so might just have to keep my w200i and use that.

Thanks for your input, hope she likes the J600 when it arrives. [/code]

Another obscurity.... If you want to have delivery reports on O2 (i.e. a message sent to you when the recipient has received your message) you need to change your phone to Delivery Reports = On (Messaging, Settings, Text Message, Delivery Report) and start the text of with '*0#' (maybe set up a template with this in it to save you doing it every time).

One thing that bugs me over the Nokia is that to add symbols such as #, £ etc. to a text you just hold down the * key on the Nokia. On the W300i you need to do More and Add Symbol (okay it is only one more keystroke... but if there is a shortcut it would be good to know).
