I think it would be great if Dell opened shops in the UK-it will be much more satisfying complaining in person than over the phone to a call center in India

    dELL IN THE SHOPS

Dell done this a long time back and wall0mart was one of the companies they used to try and break into that market, along with a few others like computer land.

What Dell said then was they were not making enough margin as the Distributors wanted their slice as well.

What Mr Dell said last month in a Trade mag was that Dell needed to re align again and they will be supplying Retails direct cutting out the Distributors and Tier 1 chain.

I run a small computer shop in MK and i have been selling dell kit for 3 years, all deals i have got from Rpoints.... big thanks to all you guys that find the deals.

My worry is what will it do to the small indy if people like PC World and Comet start selling huge amounts of Dell pc's and laptops.

Hardware prices are bad now... what will they be like then

    Yep!

they tend to be overzealous, even if people are not even close to have a fight...

    Dell in the shops

Lets both agree that all of us just want to get some good deals and with luck maybe make a few quid along the way

    Cheers
    Andy
