Dell Poweredge SC440 Server Total Price £170.20 (99+vat/Del)

Basic spec, but very cheap. Easily upgraded.

    Min Spec for £99:

    Celeron 1.8GHz
    1GB Ram
    160GB Hard Drive
    48 X CDRW/DVD combi drive
    No operating system

As a basis for a more powerful server you're still getting a great discount, for a basic home server it's a bargain if you already have the OS.

    This always makes me laugh.

If you look back 10 years, boxes with a 10th of the processing power and disk IO were running large organizations.

I bet even rpoints runs on a lower spec box that above, however with more redundancy etc.

Computing is cheap, but people dont want u to know.
