    How to get this deal

To achieve the above price: Reduce the warranty to 1yr and upgrade the hard drive to 160GB, then take this through to the checkout and the price will drop to £347!ST0108

Tip: Always take the offer through to the checkout. At this point all promotions will be added giving the best price, it's also the area where you can add any available discount codes.

    Upgrades to consider

    Primary 9-cell Lithium-Ion Battery (85 WHr) add £9.40

    Accessing Dell's website

If you are having problems getting dell's site to load via Rpoints then try clearing cookies then logging back on and starting over. If this doesn't help then check any third party programs that you are using that could be affecting access.

Tip: When you click the above deal and see 'Click here to visit Dell UK and earn points' just click this once and allow the link to naturally complete, several clicks could cause the direct linking to fail which would simply send you to the home page or worse, give an error message.

Thanks v much, got one for my sister. I was very tempted as well but I'd like one with a better graphics card. Do bargains tend to appear with a semi-decent graphics card?

Or you could upgrade to that graphics card on this laptop - it then comes to £398.33

could somebody answer this for me. I currently have a dell dimension 4500 which has a 3ghz processor. If i bought the basic spec of this laptop would it be slower than my desktop. It may sound stupid but is a dual core 1.4 just 2 chips running at 1.4 which would make 2.8 right. I'm just curious. I want a laptop for internet, e-mailing and may'be the occasional emulator but i dont want it to be struggling at the most basic of functions.

I'm no expert but I don't think this laptop would be struggling much with those kinds of tasks...

Don't think it will have a great graphics card but thats probably about it.

Would be interested in seeing the answer to your question about the CPU's though.
