Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience
It seems like the new forum software has endless ways of scoring how active we are.
As part of our plans to reward contributors based on activity levels, we are piloting a few things and analysing metrics. Some of it helps the current Award system (Member of the Month etc). Some of it is being analysed to see which metrics are reliable and could be used to award you all in other ways.
Currently, you don't need to worry about these, I will make announcements soon when we have more data and analysed it.
@expressman - I think you and Kev are not showing because you are already awarded for activity and you both are multi-award winners.

I perform data analysis for a living - just got to be careful with metrics and measuring activity levels........someone can post non-stop drivel and "seem" a more valued contributor than someone who only posts something worthwhile occasionally.
Just my 2 Euros worth
And it isn't aimed at anyone, it's a genuine observation.
Some interesting names on the list
It takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a second to break it.
And I'm about sixth and only post here occasionally?
Methinks the algorithm behind the scenes doth needeth some tweaking![]()

Thanks for all the feedback. Activity algorithm needs further testing and tweaks to the settings. As I mentioned, its one of the things we are piloting and currently we are aware that we need to look at quality. For current awards processes, manual review of user contributions has been the main mechanism. You don't need to worry about what the activity says.
As you may be aware, so far, the Award winners and people who got bonuses for their contributions have been worthy ones.

There has been no genuine new post to this thread for over a year, but it is continually being hit by spammers, so I am locking it.
