£134 might well be a fair price now but I'd love to know when and where this camera ever cost £269. It was only £228 last June, and dropped pretty quickly in price soon after. Don't think you are getting a £269 camera for £134. You are getting a £190ish camera for £134.
Sure it's probably a bargain, but not as much as you might be led to believe. I'm not having a go at the OP but just pointing out the ludicrous marketing claims made by some companies. This is not a half price offer - it's more like 33% off.

By the way, a lot of new cameras were announced at PMA 2008 in January, with launch dates in March. I'm not sure if they will all make it to UK shores then but it's something to keep an eye on. |
