| Best grill I've ever used. I paid £50/£60 for mine about 3 years ago, it's still going strong today. |

Can anyone tell me if you can do cheese on toast in one of these.
I know they do the grill and melt version but that is 29.99 for a smaller grill.
Cheese on toast would swing it for me because my grill is broken |

I've done burgers in these and put a slice of cheese on top for the last minute to melt it... that's ok - if it's melted and stuck just wait a few seconds to cool and it peels off.
Can't imagine doing cheese on toast though, I fancy the toast would go soggy. But I have done Pitta bread in toaster, filled with cheese, then back in toaster to melt cheese and make toasti pockets... I guess that would work in these too. Of course, if you emulate my practice and electrocute yourself, I know nothing.... |

| The melt and grill has some kind of adjustable hinge that allows you to grill with a gap between the cheese and the hot plate. I take it that this model doesn't have the adjustable hinge. |

No, there's no adjustable hinge on this one. I don't really think this would be good for cheese and toast. |
