Thanks for the tip.
I usually buy from Battery Force on the internet, (check out the items they have under "Cheap Batteries" - these are usually top-name batteries, just at lower prices). But once p&p is paid, they can't beat this offer at the moment (12th July 08).
And, although I've read the other 2 replies to this post, I can't get to Ikea or anywhere where they're cheaper than £4.99 for 20 - so I'm very grateful, and I've ordered some!

Poundland do sell alkaline batteries. Ours even has duracell. |

Yeovil Poundland had Kodak brand Alkaline AA batteries on Saturday.
Take a look in Robert Dyas too. They often have bulk packs of Energizer near the counter at really good prices. |

Three weeks ago when I was last in Poundland, they were doing 3 packs of 2 AA and AAA Energizer for a quid. My nearest Poundland is now an overnight ferry ride away  |
