They both have 24p.

Looks to me the only difference if the extra HDMI plus different sound description (Digital Dolby or S-Force Sound Technology) for an extra £70.

KDL40V3000 - £767.90
KDL40D3500 - £698.99

I have the V3000, and it's a great TV for picture quality - very happy with it. The prices will start to drop now that the V4000 has replaced it.

Only criticism with the V3000 is the sound which is puny. I got a Sony RHT-G800 cinema sound system bundled with mine, otherwise I would have been very disappointed.
