I think I read in the Metro paper on Monday or Tuesday that the £50 in-store offer was only available at Oxford Street branch. I went to the Virgin sale last year and those people are crazy, they queue up from the night before and you get allocated ticket numbers whilst in the queue so the boxsets were probably all sold out within minutes.

...however from reports elsewhere it looks like you had to get there really early to buy The Sopranos for £50 (like 8.05am in London or 8.30am in Manchester) as they were snapped up very quickly!
